Pedro (Pete) Alanis has served as Executive Director for the San Antonio Housing Trust Foundation since September of 2019. He brings over 20 years of community development and housing policy experience including serving the City of San Antonio as Real Estate Administrator focusing on complex development transactions within our city’s urban core and as Grant Manager overseeing the city’s use of federal entitlement funding. Through his leadership, Pete was instrumental in completing a structural re-alignment of the San Antonio Housing Trust’s governance structure, implementing a new five-year strategic plan, and aligning efforts with the City of San Antonio’s Strategic Housing Implementation Plan (SHIP). In 2021, his leadership earned the San Antonio Housing Trust the inaugural Susan R. Sheeran Bridge Builder Award. Pete currently serves as a San Antonio Housing Commissioner, serves as Co-Chair of the Removing Barriers to Affordable Housing Committee, serves on the Preston Hollow Capital Community CDFI Advisory Board, and is active with the Successfully Aging and Living in San Antonio (SALSA) Initiative which provides housing policy solutions to our older adult and disability community.
