The position also requires engagement with our apartment community’s asset management, regional property managers, compliance and asset monitoring vendors, and related consultants.

Partnership Development:

  • Monitor low-income housing tax credit funded projects through the State of Texas Compliance Monitoring Tracking Property Reporting system.
  • Track and ensure multifamily monthly financial data is recorded and accurate and follow up with partners on related issues.
  • Provide oversight and outreach to partner communities on resident and social services.
  • Work with Property management staff to support Ready to Work participation.
  • Analyze and evaluate information and review partnership documents to ensure Resident and Social services are complying.
  • Implement financial and physical corrective actions with property management.
  • Monitor compliance reporting actions and assist in resolving findings or concerns.
  • Work with Property management staff to process SAHT Program applications for the Tenant Emergency Assistance Matters (TEAM) and Tenant Concession Programs
  • Conduct residential surveys and track residential data to assist in informing housing policy.
  • Processes program applications, reviews applications for eligibility, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Prepares program payment requests and maintains accuracy for program disbursements.
  • Assist with preparation of a variety of compliance required reports, spreadsheets, and property correspondence.
  • Assist with review and provide oversight of annual funding program requirements.
  • Track all changes to properties and management teams in the portfolio.
  • Ensure documents are maintained in the internal company database.
  • Monitor the progress of properties through construction, lease up, and stabilization.
  • Work with 3rd party compliance consultants to ensure compliance summaries are accurate.
  • Review bond documentation for accuracy.
  • Track and maintain departmental contact list for all assets.
  • Maintain physical and electronic filing systems. Ensure and maintain company directory for asset management, per designated department duties.
  • Provides staff support to Asset Management team and Leadership team as needed.

Preferred: Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with preferable coursework in Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum three (3) years of experience in Real Estate, Affordable Multifamily Management, Asset Management, Property Management, or related field.  Must have experience with HUD and LIHTC programs. 

Preferred: Experience with CMTS, RealPage, Yardi or other asset management software.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Smartsheets, and Power Point software.
  • Knowledge of State of Texas Compliance Monitoring and Tracking System
  • Knowledge of multifamily tracking software such as Yardi, RealPage, and or others
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well with others and thrive in a collaborative, team-based, dynamic environment.
  • Flexibility and an ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Prior exposure to the LIHTC program or other affordable housing financing programs preferred.
  • Must have accurate data entry skills.
  • Must have the ability to provide exceptional customer service to our partners and vendors while communicating in a professional and helpful manner.
  • Must have clear and concise written communication.

Physical requirements include visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, walking, or standing to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are in an office environment. Some local travel may be required.

Negotiable based on experience.
