The San Antonio Housing Trust recognizes that affordable housing goes beyond just the physical structures. It’s about creating stable and dignified homes for families, older adults, individuals with limited abilities, veterans, and those experiencing homelessness. While our focus is always looking forward to the next affordable housing opportunity, here is what is in the rearview mirror.

As of 2025, the San Antonio Housing Trust has:

• Created or preserved over 11,500 affordable rental homes across San Antonio
• Placed 1,245 new affordable rental homes into service in FY 2025 alone across five new apartment communities
• Preserved 718 existing affordable homes through rehabilitation and renovation efforts
• Issued $82.5 million in tax-exempt bonds to support affordable housing development
• Awarded more than $3.57 million in grants and loans to local housing nonprofits and community partners
• Acquired 7.7 acres of land near future transit corridors to support future affordable housing development
• Committed over $4.3 million to the Tenant Emergency Assistance Matters (TEAM) Program to help residents remain stably housed during financial hardships
• Supported 76 San Antonio homebuyers through $1.28 million in down payment assistance funding
• Expanded workforce and education opportunities through the Ready to Work partnership, resulting in 965 resident applications since FY 2024
